(Munford, TN) Janet Fournier fought back tears, talking about her granddaughter Taylor Paige.

The 13-year-old had a risky, but successful, surgery on her back. Days later while in a Memphis hospital, she fell.

Taylor is now paralyzed from the waist down.

Her best friend Kayla has been at a loss for words ever since it happened, fighting back tears at the mention of her friend’s name. Taylor and her mom are now in a special rehab center in Atlanta.

Back in Munford, her friends and family are raising money.

“Even if you don’t know the family, you can look at them and tell how wonderful people are and wonderful they are and lovable they are and caring and they would do the same for you,” said Amber Slepicka.

From selling wristbands to t-shirts, they’re trying to do something. Taylor’s home is too small to become wheelchair accessible. They’ll move in with grandma, but still need help.

“We gotta have ramps, none of our bathrooms are accommodating she’s got to get from a wheelchair to shower,” said Fournier.

Friends are asking for your help, too, as they hope for a miracle so Taylor can fulfill her dreams.
