Brownsville Bank Robbery Suspect Now In Custody

(Brownsville, TN) 48-year-old Jeffrey Traywick is now behind bars for the early morning robbery of the First South Bank in Brownsville, Tennessee.

Police say Traywick walked into the First South Bank on West Main Street around 9 a.m. and demanded money from the teller, who complied after he indicated that he was armed.

Investigators say Traywick got away with about $1,450 in cash and left in a gray/silver Chevrolet S-10 pickup truck with a temporary tag in the back window, then went south on Wilson Avenue.

He is being held in custody in Lake County and will be charged with aggravated robbery.
