UPDATE: The man turned himself in to Memphis authorities early Sunday, June 16. He was returned to Nashville Monday, June 17.

Memphis police are working with Nashville authorities in their search for 39-year-old Earnest Woodley, aka Earnest Moore, who is wanted on four counts of attempted homicide and four counts of aggravated assault.

Nashville police say he shot his girlfriend, 34-year-old Nicole Luke, and her three daughters – 15-year-old Kierra Smith and 14-year-old twins Deona and Keona Luke – in Nashville Friday.

Woodley and Luke stopped by Woodley’s cousins apartment to say goodbye as they left to move to Memphis. They parked their two vehicles – a U-Haul and a Chevrolet Traverse – outside.

Kierra stayed in the Traverse while the couple and the twins went inside.

Woodley’s cousin told investigators Woodley and Luke began to argue inside the apartment, and Woodley shot Luke and the twins before going outside and shooting into the Traverse, injuring Kierra.

Luke and her daughters were taken to Vanderbilt Medical Center. They are all in stable condition.

Woodley’s 3-year-old daughter and his cousin’s children, ages 7 and 13, were inside the apartment during the shooting and were not harmed.

Woodley then ran barefoot into a wooded area.

He was wearing a gray t-shirt and blue shorts, is 5’11” and 190 lbs., and is considered armed and dangerous.

Authorities say they hope Moore is still hiding in the wooded area, although there is the possibility he escaped and made it to Memphis. If you see him or have any helpful information, call police.
