(Nashville, TN) A federal judge has ruled in favor of Occupy Nashville protesters.

Reports say the judge ruled Wednesday officers violated the groups First Amendment Rights during arrests made during protest two years ago.

Demonstrators were forced from Memorial Plaza.

Governor Bill Haslam and several other state officials were named in the lawsuit.

Protestors camping out at the plaza were arrested in October 2011 after lawmakers banned it on all state property.

State officials will now have to pay all the plaintiffs monetary awards and attorneys’ fees.
