(Washington, D.C.) President Obama wants to bring high-speed internet to 99 percent of the nation’s students within five years.

The president ordered the FCC to expand an existing program that pays for school internet access to bring the super-charged service to all classrooms.

Right now, just 20 percent of U.S. students have high-speed internet.
