Three Men Charged For Separate Homicides

(Memphis) Homicide investigators have charged three men, each for one of three separate homicides.

Sherman Lewis, 28, was charged with first-degree murder in connection with the May 31st killing of 29-year-old Shadquan Exum. Exum had been shot in the chest and was found in the living room of 4176 Tarrywood by officers just before 2 a.m. on May 31st .

Johnnie Chapman, 31, was charged with second-degree murder in connection with the May 30th homicide of 30-year-old DeAngelo Watkins. Officers found Watkins dead from a gunshot to the chest in front of a car wash stall at Millbranch and Victoria just after 2 p.m. on May 30th.

Thomas Snipes, 54, was charged with second-degree murder in connection with the Dec. 14, 2012, death of 68-year-old Donald Rutley. At about 2:35 p.m., officers found Rutley slumped over the living room couch at 2592 Don Krag Drive with stab wounds to his face and body.

All three victims were pronounced dead where officers had found them.
