Former Mizzou Guard Enrolls At Memphis

Memphis, TN-Michael Dixon Jr., a 6’1″, 190 lb. guard from Kansas City, Mo., has signed to attend the University of Memphis, head coach Josh Pastner announced Thursday.

Dixon is enrolled in the University’s first summer school session that began this week.

Dixon is transferring to Memphis from Missouri, where he played from 2009-12.

“We welcome Michael to the Memphis Tigers basketball family,” said Pastner. “Michael adds valuable experience to our program after playing at a high level at Missouri, where he was the Big 12 Conference Sixth Man of the Year in 2012. Michael is a team player and has a winner’s mentality.”
