(MEMPHIS) It's no secret, many Memphis police officers aren't happy with city leaders.  The Police Association even taking out billboards around town saying it's not safe.

But former officers Marc Henderson and Parker Culver were fired from their jobs reportedly after badmouthing, and even threatening a top city official, believed to be Mayor Wharton.

“I leave discipline to Director Armstrong”, said Wharton.

Sources tell us Henderson and Culver talked about seizing control of the gun room at the Ridgeway station and going after the chief executive. When it happened, Police Director Armstrong had little sympathy.

“This particular case is extreme but when we talk about reduction of pay in any form or fashion it is not something desirable” said Armstrong in February.

Former Officer Culver's neighbors had trouble buying it.

“I can't see that”, said one neighbor.  “It might be a side of him I don't see or know, but I just can't see that.”

Neighbors call him a family man, we tried to get his side to all this but the women inside his home shook her head when she saw us through their window.
