Deadly Fire in Uptown

(Memphis) One person was killed in a house fire early Monday morning.

The fire reportedly started just after 4:00 a.m. in the 1400 block of Nicholas St. near Corrine Avenue in the Uptown area.

During an interior search of the home, the body of an adult male was found in the living room area. His identity and age has not been released.

The cause of death has not been determined.

There is no word on what caused the fire.
