San Antonio, TX-Spurs guard Tony Parker came close to a double-double, but it was the triple shot that did in the Memphis Grizzlies on Sunday in game one of the Western Conference Finals. Parker scored 20 points and had nine assists in San Antonio’s 105-83 victory. The Grizzlies, who had the NBA’s top defense this year, were awful from start to finish on that end of the floor. San Antonio hit 53 percent from the floor and knocked down a team playoff record 14 three pointers. The Spurs also held Grizzlies’ all-star forward Zach Randolph to just two points on 1-8 shooting.

Quincy Pondexter led the Grizzlies with 17 points. Mike Conley added 14 for Memphis that has lost game one in each of its three playoff series this year.

Game 2 is Tuesday night in San Antonio. News Channel 3’s Mike Ceide and Alex Coleman are in San Antonio and will have team coverage of the Grizzlies each day.
