(Marshall County, MS) Marshall County investigators are asking for the public’s help in solving a Tuesday night shooting in which a man was shot several times.

Tracy Dennis is in The MED in critical condition.

It happened just before nine at the Cayce Grove mobile home park off Highway 302.

Deputies reportedly know who fired the shots and are looking for the suspect.

Residents like Felecia Jones hope they make an arrest soon, “We heard somebody shooting. And we was like, ‘was that some shots or some firecrackers going
on.’

Tuesday night Jones and her family had their dinner interrupted by gunfire a few doors away on Ruth Street, “Shot about four or five times. And everybody flew outside to see what it was and looked over there and a boy was lying on the ground. Everybody was standing over him and looking at him and stuff.”

Dennis Tracy was airlifted to The MED with multiple gunshot wounds.

Some residents told us the victim had been at one of the mobile home’s on Ruth Street before the shooting but no one answered the door Thursday.

The manager of Cayce Grove mobile home park was not available to talk about the shooting and has not returned our calls.

One resident, who didn’t want to give us her name,  says she and her family just moved into Cayce Grove, “I just think that it’s a shame, what went on back there. I really don’t know a whole lot of specifics, just hearsay, but I just think that it’s sad. It just makes me more cautious of my surroundings.”

She said she doesn’t plan on moving out…but that’s not how Felecia Jones feels,

“We trying to get out from over here as soon as possible. Bunch of people get drunk and start talking crazy to one another. They be fighting, fighting a lot in that same little area, every oher day or so.”

Marshall County deputies have leads on who did the shooting, but they haven’t arrested the person yet.

There’s a reward for information leading to an arrest, call 662-252-1311
