(Memphis) The man accused of trying to kidnap a senior citizen in East Memphis will be in court Friday morning.

Charles Hester was arrested yesterday after someone saw him and called police. The person had seen a picture of Hester on the news.

A 74-year-old woman said Hester tried to kidnap her at a shopping center by the Clark Tower on Tuesday.

She claimed he told her he had a gun. She was able to get away, and Hester ran from the scene.

A witness followed the suspect and snapped this photo of him which police then released in hopes of finding him.

Police said the victim identified Hester as the man who tried to kidnap her.
