Beale Street’s Club 152 Closed As Nuisance

(Memphis) Club 152, a popular Beale Street night club has been closed by the Shelby County District Attorney.

The club has been deemed a public nuisance.

The District Attorney says there have been numerous instances of illegal drug sales and violence.

Investigators say some drug deals went down in-front of managers.

Police responded to 130 calls at the club between January and April.

This is the first time the club has been closed but not the first time there have been complaints of issues within the club.

Kevin Kane, head of the Memphis Convention & Visitors Bureau has been listed as one of the owners of the club and building.
