Oklahoma City, OK– For the first time in franchise history, the Grizzlies are heading to the Western Conference Finals after the Grizz eliminated Oklahoma City 4-1 after an 88-84 Game 5 win.

Zach Randolph coming up huge for the Grizz, scoring a game-high 28 points and grabbing 14 rebounds to hold off a Thunder team that cut a 14-point Memphis lead down to 2 in the closing seconds.  But Kevin Durant, who went 5-for-21 in the game, missed the potential game-tying jumper and two late Tony Allen free throws provided the game’s final points as the Grizz oust the top-seeded Thunder.

The Grizzlies move on to play either San Antonio or Golden State in the West Finals.

The Spurs lead that series 3-2 with Game 6 on the Warriors home floor on Thursday night.

A Spurs win means the West Finals will open in San Antonio but if Golden State rallies to win that series, the Grizz will have homecourt advantage against the Warriors.
