Police Identify Suspect in Mother’s Day Parade Shooting

(New Orleans, La.) An arrest warrant has been issued for a suspect New Orleans police say is responsible for a shooting at a Mother’s Day Parade.

The shooting injured 19 people. Three of the victims remain in critical condition.

Police are looking for 19-year-old Akein Scott. They say he is one of three people connected to Sunday’s shooting.

They released surveillance video yesterday showing a possible suspect. Police say it’s time for Scott to turn himself in.

“We know more about you than you think we know,” said Supt. Ronal Serpas with the New Orleans Police Department. “I would recommend strongly that Mr. Scott contact anybody who he is comfortable with to turn himself in.”

Police are offering a $10,000 reward for help in tracking down the suspects.
