(Wynne, AR) Police in Wynne, Arkansas are investigating the stabbing death of a woman behind a church.
In a grassy area off West Poplar Street in Wynne, AR, police say Sarah Collins, 33, lost her life.
Police say she was stabbed several times just feet from the Church of Jesus Christ. Church had just ended Wednesday night when she was killed.
“You have to be an evil person to come out here by a church, no conscience, no heart at all,” Rayford Pryor said.
Pryor lives just a few feet away from where Sarah was stabbed.
“That hurts me real bad. I’ve known her all my life,” he said.
Police say before she died she used her last breaths to call 911.
“I thank the Lord she did do that much,” family friend Odessa Archer said.
Sarah told the dispatcher where she was, but it was too late.
“She’s going to be missed,” Archer said.
A mother of two now gone, and the community is left wondering who could have done this.
"This is a small town we don`t get this,” Pryor said.
The murder has people pointing fingers in this small town.
“'It’s crazy for people to spread rumors and ruin lives on something they don`t even know, something that can get me hurt. I know her family . I know her uncles. I know her cousins. I’m not no killer nothing like that," Pryor said.
Tonight family and friends pray for answers as to why Sarah’s life came to this tragic end.
“I hope they come forward and turn themselves in,” Archer said.
