(Memphis) Traffic is being allowed back on I-55 Northbound more than 12 hours after an acid spill closed it.

Overnight, police closed all entrance and exit ramps on I-55 Northbound from I-240 to Crump Blvd. while workers cleaned up the exit ramp at I-55 and Crump Blvd.

A tractor-trailer overturned on the ramp around 7:00 p.m. Wednesday night, spilling gallons of nitric acid. One lane of that exit ramp remains closed.

Traffic is still heavily delayed on the south leg of I-240 because of the closure.
