(Memphis)  Investigators with the Memphis Fire Department believe an electrical problem is to blame for a fire that heavily damaged a Whitehaven home early Tuesday morning.

The fire broke out around 12:10 a.m. at a house in the 3600 block of Acacia Drive — which is near Elvis Presley Blvd. and Winchester Rd.

Firefighters say two people were inside when the fire broke out. They were both able to get out without being injured.

It took firefighters about 30 minutes to put out the flames. No firefighters were injured.

The residents turned down assistance from the American Red Cross and are now staying with relatives.
