Minor Injuries, Buildings Damaged As Storms Moved Through Mid-South

(Memphis) Severe weather moved across the Mid-South Saturday evening.

Fayette County EMS reported minor injuries in the area of Belmont and Sinai.

There are also reports of numerous buildings damaged and trees down.

A church 12 miles northwest of Somerville was pushed off its foundation.

Major damage is reported at the K9 Savior Animal Sanctuary.

Several animals were reportedly trapped while more than a 100 dogs were reported running loose.

Tornado warnings have been issued at some point during the evening for locations in north Mississippi and west Tennessee.

Half-dollar sized hail was reported near Jonestown, MS at 8:30 p.m.

Also around 8:30 p.m., a trained storm spotter reported that parking lots at the Northside Market and Regions Bank in Milan, TN, were flooded due to heavy rain in the area.
