Victim Was Actually The Robber In Shelby Farms Incidents
(Memphis) An arrest has been made in the Shelby Farms armed robberies from Tuesday night.
The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office says after Marlon Wiggins, 23, has been arrested and charged with Aggravated Robbery and False Reporting.
Investigators say, “The False Reporting charge came from Wiggins claiming he was also a robbery victim that night. Wiggins confessed to the robberies.”
Shelby County Deputies and Memphis Police searched Shelby Farms for a robbery suspect Tuesday night.
Reportedly three people in Shelby Farms had been robbed Tuesday.
Investigators thought they had the suspect cornered.
One man was taken into custody then released.
The search concentrated near the entrance off of Walnut Grove.
The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office was told the robberies happened near the walking trail at Mullins Station Road.
Stolen was an iPhone and jewelry. Investigators say he is armed with a handgun.
Memphis Police had choppers in the air and canine units on the ground.
