Parts of the midwest have gotten three times the normal April rainfall.
That, combined with snow melt from up north, has water pouring over the banks of the Mississippi River.
Flood warnings are posted from the Great Lakes to the Gulf of Mexico.
Further up river, a number of homes are already under water.
