American Airlines grounded all of its flights Tuesday afternoon for several hours.
The groundings are a result of a problem with the airline’s reservation system.
The problem was fixed around 3:30 pm.
“American’s reservation system is experiencing intermittent outages,” AA spokeswoman Andrea Huguely said.
UPDATE: We are now in a system-wide ground delay until 4:00pm CT as we work to resolve this issue. We apologize for any inconvenience.—
