(Memphis) Our colleagues at ABC-24 are mourning the sudden death of Chief Meteorologist Mark Walden.

He died this weekend at his home of apparent natural causes. He was 38.

Walden began doing the weather at ABC-24 back in 1999.

During his time there, he also spent time volunteering for local schools and numerous community organizations.

He is survived by his wife, son and step-daughter.

Memorial plans are still pending.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Walden’s family and our friends at ABC-24.
