Tigers’ Thomas to Go Pro

Memphis– Former Melrose star Adonis Thomas is turning pro.  Thomas deciding to forego his final two years of eligiblity to sign with an agent and make himself available for this summer’s NBA draft.

After missing most of his freshman season, Thomas had an up and down sophomore campaign, averaging just under 12 points and 5 rebounds a game while helping the Tigers win 31 games and advance to the Round of 32 in the NCAA Tournament.

Josh Pastner also announcing on Thursday that senior-to-be Tarik Black is also contemplating a transfer.  Pastner says he’s given Black until Tuesday to make a final decision on his Tiger future.
