MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Thursday night’s season-opener between the Memphis Redbirds and Oklahoma City RedHawks at AutoZone Park was postponed due to rain. The game will be made up as part of a 5:05 p.m. doubleheader on Friday evening, when the two teams will play a pair of seven-inning contests.

Memphis will send left-hander John Gast to the mound in the twinbill opener against righty Jordan Lyles. In the nightcap, 2012 Cardinals Minor League Pitcher of the Year Seth Maness will make his Triple-A debut against right-hander Paul Clemens.

Tickets for tonight’s game can be exchanged at the box office for any future 2013 regular season contest, excluding July 4. The first 3,000 fans can receive their own Redbirds replica batting practice cap and don it for the game, presented by Mission Foods. Gates open at 4:00 p.m.
