(Stokes County, NC) Abuse and animal cruelty allegations are being hurled at a North Carolina tattoo artist after he decided to tattoo both his four-month old and seven-year-old pit bull terriers.

Ernesto Rodriguez added the art to make sure the dogs could be identified if anything ever happened to them. Rodriguez claims his puppy’s tattoo was done after a visit to a veterinarian’s office to get it’s ears clipped and the dog slept through the entire process.

Local authorities are investigating the case because someone filed a complaint. No criminal charges have been against Rodriguez because police don’t know if he broke any laws.
