Downtown Street Closures Set For Klan, Other Rallies

(Memphis) It will be hard to get in and out of downtown Memphis Saturday.

A rally is planned by a faction of the KKK from 1:30-4 Saturday afternoon at the courthouse located at 140 Adams.

An inner city group called Power to the People has planned a counter rally from 11-1:30.

Due to security reasons, streets between Poplar, Fourth, Front and Jefferson are closing.

The entry point for the public is an alley on Fourth St. between Jefferson and Adams.

Every person will be subject to search, including metal detectors.

The Heart of Memphis rally is set for Saturday starting at 10 a.m.
