(Memphis) Kroger is calling their new grocery store at Poplar and Highland their flagship store.
The 90,000 square foot store is much larger than its soon to be demolished predecessor.
In addition to many more selections and healthier food options, the new store employees and extra 50 people.
Kroger is planning to spend as much as 50 million dollars in the next few years to remodel as well as build new stores in the Memphis market.
The new store includes a sushi bar, make your own peanut butter area, expanded gluten free area as well as small medical clinic.
Kroger’s next large product will be building a similar looking, but smaller version of the store in Midtown on Union Avenue.
