(Memphis) The Memphis Grizzlies are asking fans to “team up” with them to help mentor kids in the community.
In late January the team’s charitable organization kicked off a campaign to get 100 mentors in 50 days.
They were able to get 100 plus mentors, but are still looking for more.
The Memphis Grizzlies Charitable Foundation works with dozens of organizations all over Memphis and Shelby County to Place mentors in the lives of at-risk kids.
The Foundation also provides assistance to mentoring programs and tries to raise awareness about the need for mentors.
The Grizzlies say there is no better way to show your “fanhood” than be part of the effort.
“There is no questions there are lots of kids that just need a stronger support system and mentor can be a real big part of that,” said Jenny Koltnow with the Memphis Grizzlies Charitable Foundation.
Although the campaign is over you can still get involved.
