(Blytheville,AR) The Blytheville Police Department is investigating the noncustodial abduction of a 5-year-old.

Monday at 4:30pm,  Harry Darby went to pick up his five-year-old son Evan Darby from his ex-wife’s townhouse at East Apartment on 840 East Main.

When he arrived he made contact with his ex-wife, Corbet Darby, who told him to come back in an hour and closed the door.

After a few minutes Darby left the apartment with the child in her hands and got into her 1996 white Volvo and locked the doors.

Mr. Darby called the police department as he watched Mrs. Darby leave the parking lot before officers could arrive.

Police contacted Darby’s family in both Tennessee and Missouri and no one has heard from her.

Corbet has a history of mental instability and the Blytheville Police Department is concerned for both Corbet and Evan.

If anyone has any information regarding the whereabouts we ask you contact the Blytheville Police Department at 870-763-4411 or your local law enforcement agency.
