Grizzlies win eighth straight game in wild fashion

Memphis, TN-Down by 25 points in the second quarter the Memphis Grizzlies never gave up hope of beating Dallas on Wednesday night. Zach Randolph scored 22 points and Marc Gasol added 21 as the Grizzlies matched the largest comeback in franchise history on their way to a 90-84 victory. It’s the largest home comeback in team history.

The Grizzlies bench kept them in the game in the first half as Quincy Pondexter finished with 12 points and Austin Daye, 10. The Grizzlies won their eighth straight game to match a season-high win streak.

The Grizzlies pulled to within 55-42 at the half and then opened the second half on a 20-0 run to take the lead for good. Dallas didn’t score in the third quarter until there were only four minutes left. The Mavericks were held to just five points in the third quarter, the lowest total the Grizzlies have allowed in any quarter in franchise history.

The Grizzlies are now 38-18 and play at Miami on Friday.
