Safety Alert Issued After Armed Robbery Near U of M Campus

(Memphis) A safety alert has been issued for students and staff after an armed robbery near the University of Memphis campus last night.

Police say a man was robbed while walking on Watauga St.

Someone saw it happen and yelled at the attacker. He ran away to a waiting car.

The victim wasn’t hurt.

Campus police are working with Memphis police to help find the gunman.
