(Memphis) U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force captured a Memphis man Thursday who is accused of killing a rival gang member and dodging authorities for weeks.

Derrick “D Man” Benson, who┬áis a known member of the street gangs “Young Mob” and “Rolling 90’s Crips,” is now behind bars on first degree murder charges after he was arrested at a home in the 1900 block of Florida in South Memphis.

Authorities did not say when the murder happened or who Benson is accused of killing.

Marshals spent two weeks searching for the fugitive and in that time arrested several of Benson’s family members and close friends who could possibly face charges for hindering his capture.
