(Shelby County, TN) At least nine vehicles were involved in separate crashes along a stretch of 385 between Brunswick and Pleasant Ridge in Shelby County during rush hour Thursday morning.

The drivers were crossing a bridge on 385 when they hit some ice and lost control.

One man drove over a guard rail and rolled his pickup truck, but managed to walk away without a scratch.

"As it was happening I was thinking I might not make it out and it stopped and then I said, well, I can move my fingers and move my toes and I feel pretty good and I'm going to get out of this, and a couple of firemen helped me out," said Mark Pearson.

Several other drivers were slipping and sliding in the east and west bound lanes of traffic.

Icy road conditions also caused big problems at the I-240/I-40 flyover in midtown.

Police had to close part of that stretch of highway after a number of drivers crashed.

No one was seriously hurt in any of the crashes.
