Arkansas Senate Debating Voter ID Law
(Arkansas) The Arkansas Senate is considering a proposal to require voters to show photo identification to vote.
Poll workers are currently required to ask for identification, but voters don’t have to show it to cast a ballot.
The proposal wouldn’t take effect until the state has the money to pay for id’s for voters who don’t have a driver’s license.
Voters living in nursing homes would be exempt.
