(MEMPHIS)  A disturbance inside a Memphis restaurant led to a man getting cut with a knife and a pregnant woman sent to the hospital.

According to a police affidavit Shalonda Smith, and her sister Sharika were angry over their service at the Logan’s Roadhouse on Winchester Road.

The report, and eyewitnesses state the women punched their waiter, hit him and chased him through the restaurant with knives. One of the women allegedly cutting the man on his forehead.

Lashun Paige is one of the bartenders at the restaurant, she said she’s worked there for seven years and never has she seen anything of that extent and she hates that it happened.

The restaurant is located in a relatively safe area, near Fed Ex World Headquarters on Winchester.

But other restaurants are reportedly protecting themselves and their patrons from violence.

National chain, Cheddars opened last year in the same area. Patrons noted that restaurant has security guards both inside and outside the building.

A Cheddars manager tells us, it’s the first in the chain to do so, but they want their customers safe.

A manager at Logan’s Roadhouse said he couldn’t comment on the situation at his restaurant, but that the waiter was doing OK.

The manager referred us to a corporate office for comment, but no one answered at the number given.
