(Memphis) Memphis Police are investigating a double shooting that injured a teenager in Hickory Hill.

The shooting happened around 9:40 p.m. at the Walmart Neighborhood Market on Hickory Hill Rd. south of Mt. Moriah.

When officers arrived, they found a 16-year-old girl with a gunshot wound to the leg. She was taken to Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital with minor injuries.

Minutes later, officers discovered a second shooting victim — a 21-year-old security guard — down the street. He was taken to the MED with minor injuries.

So far, police haven’t said what led to the shooting — but we were told that police were originally called to the store because of a disturbance involving a large number of teenagers.

Police are asking anyone with information on this shooting to call Crime Stoppers at (901) 528-CASH.
