(Bells, TN)  A Crockett County grand jury has indicted a Lauderdale County man for the October murder of a Bells man.

29-year-old Antonio Toomes of Ripley was arrested Wednesday by the T.B.I. after he was indicted on one count of first degree murder, one count of especially aggravated robbery and one count of especially aggravated burglary.

40-year-old Matthew McKnight was found shot to the death inside his home back on October 18th.

Investigators believe Toomes shot McKnight while he was burglarizing the home. Forensic evidence at the scene linked Toomes to the crime.
