4-Year-Old Kills Self While Playing With Gun

(Memphis) Memphis police say a 4-year-old has been shot and killed.

It appears the child was playing with a gun when it went off.

Police were called to an apartment at 3988 Camelot Lane around 12:30 Monday afternoon.

Police say it is a good idea to talk with children about what to and not to do when they find a gun or a friend shows them a gun.

1-Talk to your children about never touching guns

2-Tell them if they find one or a friend has one, to tell an adult right away

3-Ask the parents of your child’s friend if they keep a gun in the home and whether it is secured
