(Memphis) It’s tax season, and help is on the way for some people who need assistance preparing their taxes.

The IRS Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program is offering free help for taxpayers who qualify.

The VITA program offers free tax help to people who make $51,000 or less and need help in preparing their own tax returns.

The volunteers will be on hand this Sunday from 1:00 – 5:00 pm at the Catholic Church of the Resurrection on 5475 Newberry Avenue.

Make sure you bring a photo id and your W-2 form.

The IRS will also have volunteers to help those who only speak Spanish.
