(Anaheim, CA) A California family is suing Disneyland claiming a character would not hug their children because they are black.
“I was going to hug him, but he turned his back,” 6-year-old Jason Black told KTLA.
Black is talking about the White Rabbit character from “Alice in Wonderland.”
The family says the character did hug other children but not their son and daughter.
They contacted the park and filed a complaint. The family says Disney offered VIP passes.
The family is suing for a public apology and the firing of the person who was in the character costume.
The ethnicity of the employee inside the costume is not known.
