(Horn Lake, MS) An arrest has been made in a double shooting Wednesday night in Horn Lake, Mississippi.

Twenty-Year-Old Carey Hughes of Memphis has been charged with aggravated assault.

Police say a 15-year-old and 18-year-old were shot on Meadowbrook in the Desoto Village Neighborhood.

One was shot in the ankle and the other in his side.

They were both treated and released from the hospital.

Some neighbors were shocked by what happened, but others said wannabe gang members, some from Memphis, have been stirring up trouble in the neighborhood.

"I think we are safe, but it's not as safe as it used to be. It's kind of like Memphis now," said Paul Tyler.

Police said a verbal argument between two groups of young people escalated into the gunfire last night.

Neighbors tell us there were a number of school-age kids on the street when the shooting happened.

Hughes is being held on $100,000 bond.
