Fighting Drugs With Families, Not Dealers

(Forrest City, AR) Police are on a mission to rid the city of drugs.

Tiny Forrest City has become a hot bed for drugs lately, the city's small enough to put all their residents inside Fed Ex forum and still have empty seats.

The small town is seeing some big city problems.

“Once we close down one house, another one is popping up” said Sgt. Mary Payne.

Officers are not stopping who you'd expect. This operation is more personal. L

They’re reaching out to families, hard-working citizens, hoping they can be their eyes and ears in the war on drugs.

It's a brain child of police chief E P Reynolds who said dealers from Little Rock and Memphis are setting up shop here.  

He said his new approach is working, "We've seized, guns, drugs, and money."
