Panel to Discuss 40 Years After Roe V. Wade

(Memphis) Today marks the 40th anniversary of the landmark Roe v. Wade abortion ruling by the Supreme Court, and the controversial issue will be the focus of a panel discussion.

The decision legalized abortion in the U.S. in 1973, but debate on the issue continues.

Tonight, the case will be discussed at the University of Memphis.

The Coalition of Mid-South Organizations and Churches will host a forum titled “Religion, Law and Reproductive Rights: The 40th Anniversary of Roe v. Wade.”

The event is free and will start at 6 p.m. in the University Center Theater.
