Josh Anderson Officially Announced Southaven Mayoral Candidacy

(Southaven, MS) Another name is officially in the ring in the Southaven mayor's race to replace current Mayor Greg Davis.

Saturday afternoon Josh Anderson officially announced his candidacy.

Anderson is a firefighter and a small business owner. He says if he is elected he would address budget concerns by slashing the mayor's salary

Anderson says it's time for a fresh start for Southaven.

"People are tired of the same old politicians, the same old rhetoric, the same old thing and I'm here to provide a fresh face, new blood," said Anderson.

Police veteran Jerald Wheeler has already announced his plans to run for mayor.

Alderman Ronnie Hale and State Representative Wanda Jennings are also said to be considering getting into the race.
