Mississippi Public Health Report Card

(Mississippi) The state of Mississippi gets an “F” in the latest health rankings.

For the fifth year in a row, the state ranks worst in the country in obesity, diabetes, cardiovascular disease mortality, infant mortality, teen birth rate and access to physicians.

The grade comes as the result of a report by the Mississippi State Medical Association and the Department of Health.
