With the Grizzlies leader, Zach Randolph, on the bench with a bad back, the team turned to fellow big man Marc Gasol to pick up the slack.
Gasol scored 18 points and grabbed ten rebounds to lead the Grizzlies to an 85-69 win over the Sacramento Kings on Friday.
The victory snapped a three-game losing streak for the Grizzlies, who got 19 points from Mike Conley.
All five Grizzlies starters finished in double figures.
The Grizzlies are now 25-13 and play at Chicago Saturday night.
