Police Owed Overtime Pay

(Wynne, AR) The U.S. Labor Department says Wynne, Arkansas owes its police officers 150-thousand dollars in overtime pay.

The city in Cross County faced a federal lawsuit and was accused of not complying with wage and hour laws.

Wynne leaders agreed to pay the overtime to 24 police officers.

The Labor Department also said the city did not do a good job of record-keeping.

A judge has to approve the agreement.
