(Memphis) Parents in South Memphis are upset after hearing a 15-year-old girl was kidnapped and sexually assaulted earlier this week.

According to Memphis Police, the victim was walking home from the store Monday at 8:30 when she was approached by two men she didn’t know.

The teen was kidnapped and taken to an abandoned house where she was rendered unconscious and sexually assaulted.

Parent of two young girls, Camille Rutherford said the story concerns her, “My kids go to school right there at AB Hill.  I would never let them walk alone by themselves, nothing, none of that sorts."

Now the search is on for the two male suspects.

MPD describes one of the men as a light skin black male with a large scar on the right side of his face that extends from above his right eye down to the middle of his cheek.

The description of the second suspect is vague.

Rutherford said Memphis Police can’t lock up the suspects fast enough.

“They took her innocence, so now it's like that's something she won't ever be able to get back. That's really hurtful,” said Rutherford.
