Tulsa cruises to Liberty Bowl win

Memphis, TN-After opening its season with a loss to Iowa State, Tulsa made sure it would finish the year in the same fashion. Tulsa got payback for a season opening loss at Iowa State by running all over the Cyclones, 31-17, in a rain-soaked Liberty Bowl.

Tulsa’s Trey Watts rushed for 149 of the Golden Hurricane’s 310 yards on the ground. Alex Singleton ran for three touchdowns in Tulsa’s big win, its 11th of the year to tie a school record. Iowa State, which led 17-7 in the first quarter, finished the year at 6-7.
